Q: I am hoping to have my book out in time for an important upcoming conference. Whom can I talk to about this?
A: We try to have books available for key publicity opportunities whenever possible. Sometimes it is not feasible due to scheduling constraints. Please let us know as soon as possible if there is a conference relevant to your publication, and we will try to take this into consideration when scheduling your book
Q: I would like to start planning book signings and other promotional events for my book. Who can I talk to about when I can safely schedule these events?

Q: When will I receive the copyedited galleys for my book for review?
A: Copyedited galleys are sent to book editors and authors for Book Division books. The timing for receipt of galleys is determined by a number of factors, and cannot be provided far in advance. If your book is large and/or complicated in content, more time is required for copyediting and checking. It also depends on where your book falls in the production schedule, i.e., the number of books ahead of yours in the schedule. If you have special time constraints, e.g., a period when you will be unavailable to review the galleys due to travel, etc., we will try to work around your schedule, but this may not always be possible. Keeping us abreast of your schedule helps us to be more efficient. We will contact you when the galleys are ready to be mailed so that you will know exactly when to expect arrival.
Q: After I have reviewed the copyedited galleys, will I get to see the book again before it is published?
A: No, this is your only chance to review the book, so please be sure you answer all of the queries and make all needed changes. We cannot make additions to the book after it has been typeset in single-space format as this would cause a change in pagination of the book, resulting in costly delays in production.
If you intend to compile the index for your book, you will be sent a copy of the final pages for indexing purposes. However, you cannot make changes to the text during the indexing process.
Q: Can you send me the book on disk for indexing?
A: Yes, indexes can be sent and a hard copy ⊄⊄too.
Q: I would like to index my book, but I am not sure how to go about it. Can you help me?
A: Yes, we can provide you with sample indexes and answer any questions that you may have about the process.
